We take a 3D cone beam CT scan (CBCT) of your jaw to evaluate bone density, bone height, nerve locations, and sinus proximity. This scan allows Dr. Jayti Shah to plan the exact position, angle, and depth of your implant digitally before any surgery begins.
Step 2: Implant Placement Surgery
Under local anesthesia, a small incision is made in the gum. A precise hole is drilled into the jawbone using progressively larger drill bits. The titanium implant post is threaded into position. A healing cap is placed, and the gum is sutured closed. The entire procedure takes 30-60 minutes per implant. Most patients describe it as less painful than a tooth extraction.
Step 3: Osseointegration (The Healing Phase)
Over the next 3-6 months, your jawbone naturally grows around and fuses with the titanium implant in a process called osseointegration. This is what gives implants their incredible strength and stability. During this period, a temporary tooth can be worn for aesthetics.
Step 4: Crown Placement
